Blockchain bridges or cross-chain bridges allow users to execute a variety of decentralised financial (DeFi) tasks by not being restricted to a single network. It empowers multiple blockchains to combine their security features, decentralisation aspects, as well as efficiency and speed. This not only allows functionalities and users the freedom to perform different actions, but also reduces fragmentation across multiple blockchains and increases the efficiency of the blockchain.
1. Spookyswap
SpookySwap is a decentralised Automated Market-Making (AMM) exchange platform based on the Fantom network. In addition to the low-cost AMM services – swap, liquidity injection, yield farming and staking – backed by the Fantom network, the platform also offers a bridging solution. Through the bridge interface, users can transfer their tokens from Fantom to any other network or the other way around. The bridge currently supports the Ethereum, Fantom, Polygon, Avalanche, Binance Smart Chain, Arbitrum and OEC networks.
The bridge currently supports networks such as
- Ethereum
- Fantom
- Polygon
- Avalanche
- Binance Smart Chain
- Arbitrum
- OEC
2. Solarbeam
Currently, Solarbeam uses bridge services from two different sources: the Anyswap integrated bridge and and a third party provider Relaychain.
The on-site bridge is powered by Anyswap, and currently supports the following networks
- Ethereum
- Binance Smart Chain
- Moonriver.
3. Multichain
Multichain (formerly AnySwap) is a service that addresses the need for different and diverse blockchains to communicate with each other. The goal of Multichain is to provide a fast, secure, convenient, and reliable way to exchange value and data and exercise control between chains.
Multichain says it is the leader in the cross-chain field today, with a fast-growing family of chains (currently 26) and daily volume well over $100 million. The continued daily volume of more than $100 million, the total value locked of over $5 billion, and the thousands of daily users attest to its popularity and security.
Multichain currently supports the following networks
EVM chains
- Avalanche C-Chain
- Binance smart chain
- Celo
- Cronos
- Ethereum
- Fantom
- Fuse
- Fusion
- IOTEX
- Harmony shard 0
- Huobi Heco chain
- Kucoin
- Moonriver
- OKExChain
- Polygon
- Shiden
- Telos
- XDai
EVM Layer 2
- Arbitrum
- Boba
Bitcoin-like chains
- Bitcoin
- Blocknet
- ColossusXT
- Litecoin
Others
- Terra
4. cBridge
Celer cBridge (from Celer Network) is a decentralized, non-custodial asset bridge that provides support for 80+ tokens on 26 blockchains and layer 2 rollups. Based on the Celer inter-chain message framework, cBridge has processed approximately $5 billion in cross-chain asset transfers on 20+ blockchains for 110,000+ users and is rapidly scaling and expanding into additional blockchains and Layer-2s.
The supported chains from cBridge are
- Astar
- BNB Chain
- Avalanche
- Polygon
- Arbitrum
- Fantom
- Metis Mainnet
- Oasis Emerald
- Aurora
- Harmony
- Moonbeam
- Moonriver
- Optimism
- Boba Network
- Heco
- Conflux
- Gnosis Chain
- Milkomeda Cardano
- OKXChain
- REI Network
5. Avalanche Bridge
Avalanche Bridge (AB) can be used to transfer ERC20 tokens (for example ETH) from Ethereum to Avalanche’s C-chain and back.
Between the two chains, currently the following tokens are supported
- Pangolin
- Wrapped AVAX
- 1INCH Toke
- Aave Token
- AlphaToken
- Basic Attention Token
- BUSD (Binance USD)
- Compound
- Curve DAO Token
- Dai Stablecoin
- Graph Token
- ChainLink Token
- Maker
- SHIBA IN
- Synthetix Network Token
- SushiToken
- TrustSwap Token
- UMA Voting Token v
- Uniswap
- USD Coin
- Tether USD
- Wrapped BTC
- Wrapped ETH
- Wootrade Network
- yearn.finance
- 0x Protocol Token
6. Polygon Bridge
Similar principle to the Avalanche Bridge, with the Polygon Bridge it allows users to quickly transfer ERC tokens to the Polygon sidechain. They can bridge assets from Ethereum to Polygon and the other way around.
Polygon Bridge uses the Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm to secure its network. It supports the transfer of Ether (ETH) and most ERC tokens. It is the recommended option for most users.
Currently the following tokens are supported between the two chains
- Ether – PoS
- Matic Token
- USD Coin
- Tether USD
- Dai – PoS
- Aave
- ChainLink Token
- Wrapped BTC
- Uniswap
- SushiToken
- Quickswap
- Aavegotchi GHST Token
- Telcoin
- Balancer
- Binance USD
7. Binance Bridge
Binance Bridge 2.0 is a way to bridge listed and select unlisted tokens from Ethereum to BNB Smart Chain as BTokens. The wrapped tokens with the BNB Chain ecosystem can be used to explore DeFi, blockchain games, Metaverse and more.
Binance Bridge 2.0 is a trusted bridge secured by Binance’s highest security standards and operates on the BNB Smart Chain with low fees of just a few cents and fast transaction times of just 3 seconds. Binance Bridge 2.0 will support almost all Ethereum-native tokens and provide direct access to BNB Smart Chain dApps like PancakeSwap. Support for more blockchains and dApps will come in the future.
